Kara Connell, Patrick Lammert, Mason Sanders and 22 other Texas Bioscience Institute students are participating in a 10-week summer internship program that puts them up close to scientific research taking place at a variety of locations, including Texas A&M, Scott & White and the Temple VA.
The possibility to work on some cutting-edge science was too good to pass up, according to the students.
"We gained perspective on the research and medical field in general," Sanders said.
