Make it a dozen: UMHB rips TLU to take 12th straight; DeWeese becomes Crusaders' winningest coach

Mary Hardin-Baylor
BELTON - Mary Hardin-Baylor might be playing well enough to beat just about anybody. But for now anyway, the Crusaders have to be content with beating up on the American Southwest Conference West Division.

UMHB was two steps better than Texas Lutheran in every aspect - shooting, rebounding, defensive pressure - as the Crusaders stormed to their 12th consecutive victory with a 71-51 win over the Bulldogs on Thursday night at Mayborn Campus Center.

It was another case of UMHB (16-3, 12-3 ASC) executing too well on both ends of the floor for its opponent to do much of anything. During their program-record streak, the Crusaders have won by double digits seven times.

And the victory that made it an even dozen in a row also made coach Ken DeWeese the winningest coach in the history of UMHB
