Piccadilly to close in Temple

Citing sales that were too low to keep it open, Piccadilly Cafeteria officials confirmed Monday that they are closing their Temple location today. Rick Fuchs, executive vice president/real estate director with Piccadilly Cafeterias Inc., headquartered in Baton Rouge, La., confirmed the reason for closing the location. Piccadilly was an original tenant when Temple Mall opened in 1976. C.W. Parker, general manager of the Colonial Mall-Temple location, said the lease with Colonial Mall-Temple ended on Dec. 31. Colonial Properties Trust purchased Temple Mall from Temple Mall Co. in 2000. Parker said the closure is difficult for customers. | more from Jan. 7related articlesmost popular |
