The Central Texas Blackhawks on Wednesday acquired center Matt Tyree from America West Hockey League rival Great Falls (Mont.) in exchange for winger Brandon Roberts. Tyree, 19, played six games for Cedar Rapids of the United States Hockey League this season, then joined the Americans and had one goal, three assists, and 39 penalty minutes in 25 games. In 51 games with Great Falls last season, Tyree, a 6-1, 180-pounder who shoots left-handed, posted 19 goals, 24 assists, and 142 penalty minutes. Roberts (5-11, 175), 20, had four goals and three assists in 18 games for the first-season Blackhawks. He attended and played for Colorado College last season.
