Temple residents were asked to conserve water Wednesday after a pipe ruptured during a maintenance procedure at the main water treatment plant Tuesday night, shutting off the water supply to the city, officials said.The repairs, which began at 6 p.m. Wednesday after replacement parts arrived, are expected to take 24 to 48 hours. said Assistant City Manager Sam Listi.
