As mothers around the country are honored today, there are many who see the holiday as a bittersweet reminder of who their mothers were and how much has been lost to Alzheimer’s.

No easy answers for dealing with dementia

There are no easy answers when it comes to deciding how to care for a person with dementia.
Many caregivers feel guilty when placing a family member in a nursing home or assisted living facility, said Dr. Alan Stevens, director of aging and care research at Scott & White Memorial Hospital. Stevens also holds the Vernon D. Holleman-Lewis M. Rampy Centennial Chair in Gerontology.

AUSTIN - It wasn’t the color he was looking for coming in. But after a long, taxing day at his first University Interscholastic League State Track and Field Meet, that bronze medal looked simply golden to Temple’s Tevin Reese.
Reese bounced back from disappointing finishes in his two field events by rallying down the homestretch to finish third in the Class 5A boys 300-meter hurdles Saturday night at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Keepers of the streak: Season hasn't been smooth, but TC seeks another Region V title

There’s plenty of irony in the fact that perhaps Temple College’s most inconsistent baseball team in many years has continued the Leopards’ streak of consistent success.
Squads that lose nine of their first 10 games and suffer a seven-game losing skid in conference generally don’t advance to postseason play.
