Golden Apple Awards
These awards are a way to support local teachers by recognizing teaching excellence by encouraging students and former students to write a short essay about a teacher who has impacted their life in a positive way.

Bell County Spelling Bee
Students from all Bell County public and private middle schools are invited to participate in the contest each spring. The coveted "Traveling Trophy", awarded to the winning school, currently resides at Lake Belton Middle School.

"Tribute to My Hero" Essay Contest
All students in the area are eligible to send in an essay that details a person in their life whom they consider a real hero.
