McLane Advanced Technologies, LLC (MAT) is a services-based, technology company offering a unique blend of military experience, corporate knowledge, and unprecedented commitment to the customer to ensure that each project is completed on time and on budget. Our history is a unique blend of both commercial and military experience. Drayton McLane Jr. built a logistics empire by introducing leading edge technologies into a logistics company. He created a worldwide enterprise by focusing on honesty, integrity, and high moral values. When Drayton’s neighbor told him how the Army’s logistics software systems were old and outdated Drayton knew the soldiers would benefit from an updated software system. The idea of forming a logistics information technology company was born. In 2004, MAT served as the primary subcontractor to modernize three legacy systems for the Army. MAT hired the brightest software engineers who were using the most modern programming languages, development methodologies, and relational databases. MAT teamed them with Army experts, those that knew these legacy systems inside and out and together set about creating SAMS-E. The Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E) was completed and turned in to the government on time and on budget – two things that don’t always occur in government contracting. Building on that success, MAT was selected as the prime contractor to field this software to the Army and continue to modernize SAMS-E and other legacy systems. Throughout the successful beginnings of McLane Advanced Technologies, Drayton realized we were providing unprecedented service for the government and wanted to provide that same quality of service to business owners. In 2004, MAT found an IT service provider who was doing just that – providing great customer service to companies in Texas. Now, both the Government and Commercial Divisions provide IT and Logistics services throughout the world. MAT Commercial Division now offers ConstantCareTM as a way to provide information technology services to small and medium sized businesses throughout Central Texas.
